  • Ecosystem certification - Lacework now supports the following new certified ecosystems, allowing you to deploy agents to these environments with assurance that there are no security gaps in your workloads.

  • Support for detecting active and inactive packages on hosts - The Lacework agent can now detect active and inactive dpkg and RPM packages on hosts. This enables you to know whether a vulnerable package is being used by an application on your host and prioritize fixing active vulnerable packages first.   • Support for retrieving user-defined labels on Google Compute Engine (GCE) instances - For more information, see Configure Access to Labels in Google Cloud.

  • Support for using the Lacework CLI to install the agent on all AWS EC2 instances on which the agent is not installed - The Lacework CLI now supports the following commands to install the Lacework agent on all the AWS EC2 instances on which the agent is not installed.

    note

    These commands are supported only for EC2 instances with public IP addresses that are open to the Internet on port 22.

  • Support for using the Lacework CLI to install the agent on all Google Compute Engine (GCE) instances on which the agent is not installed - The Lacework CLI now supports the following command to install the Lacework agent on all the GCE instances on which the agent is not installed.

    lacework agent gcp-install oslUses the GCP OSLogin service to securely connect to GCE instances and install the Lacework agent.

    This command is supported only for GCE instances with oslogin enabled in metadata and with public IP addresses that are open to the Internet on port 22.
