📄️ Supported Linux Operating Systems
To analyze application, host, and user behavior, Lacework uses a lightweight agent, which securely forwards collected metadata to the Lacework cloud for analysis. The agent requires minimal system resources and runs on most 64-bit Linux distributions such as the following:
📄️ Supported Kubernetes Environments
The Lacework Linux agent supports the following Kubernetes versions, managed Kubernetes services, container network interfaces (CNI), service meshes, and container runtime engines:
📄️ Required Connectivity, Proxies & Certificates
Connectivity
📄️ Initial Data Visibility in the Lacework Console
Once installed and running, the agent starts collecting and batching data. The data collected is periodically transmitted over an encrypted channel to Lacework servers for analysis. It may take up to 2 hours to construct a base graph and for the Lacework Console to populate. Lacework sends a notification to the email address used during registration to inform the user when results are first available in the Lacework Console.
📄️ Configure Access to Tags in AWS
For the Lacework Linux agent to be able to retrieve externally-created tags, the AWS EC2 instance must have permission to DescribeTags. Note that doing this enables discovery of any external cloud tags, not just the custom agent tags for Lacework.
📄️ Configure Access to Labels in Google Cloud
Google Cloud supports user-defined labels to organize your Google Cloud resources. For more information, see Creating and Managing Labels.
